Still no approved devices yet and regulation comes into effect in less than 4 weeks. Looks like enforcement will be soft for a year. I suspect we won’t see an approved device until a day or two before June 12th.

Had a talk with a dot officer at the scale. Unofficially if it’s a US eld, they are ok with it for now. Ours doesn’t have everything needed to be legal in Canada, but until they get one, they are ok as long as it shows the main info they need.

From what I heard also they will be issuing "warnings" until the first quarter of 2022. Quebec and I believe Manitoba said they won't be enforcing it with no dates given.

We are whirling out of control and being pulled down by the great sucking arseholes, of the bureaucracy and ruling class.

Seems logical enough. Why would enforcement want to write up violations, for something that isn't ready for that. A complete waste of time and this situation was quite foreseeable last year.

Lots of guys are running with elog anyway, just not the so called "Canadian" stamped version that doesn't exist. Another typical fiasco.

Why does anything to do with the Canadian Gov such a debacle? I wish I could fire those idiots. They do work for me after all (in theory of course).

It's already generally a good idea to stay far away from Ontario scales. I'd be even more vigilant in doing so now. Any chicken #### thing they can dream up they'll try.
