Off to Tolleson we go!

 

Leveling rod for the airbag suspension fell off going down the road. Scared the #### out of me. Fingers crossed roadside can fix it and I don't get towed to a dealer in the morning.

Another driver is coming to repower this load but after hours still hasn't given me his info. Sure would be nice to tell him to bobtail if he can, because he's probably going to get here to this full Rutter's while my truck is being worked on with my trailer in a spot. Depending on who it is and how their day has gone, they could have no problem playing musical trailers or they could be extra pissed off

If they're not bobtail I sure hope they put their trailer back in the spot mine's currently in lol

 

You rode in your truck while it was being towed?.

My tow guy had one of those old timey long nose Petes that everyone gushes over. Cab was cramped as hell and the low roofline meant I was ducking down to see up the road. Sure glad my plastic, "not a real Pete" 579 is nothing like that.

 

Sent tons of pics direct to roadside mechanic before he came. Now he's headed back to the TA because he doesn't have everything he needs

 

Had the same deal couple months ago.that cab was so small felt like I was sitting on the drivers lap. They can have those Pete's.

 

I did. Didn't even know that was an option. Tow-truck driver suggested it and I took him up on it. Maybe he didn't want to share the cab with me!

 

TA roadside guy has once again left and is now on a 140-mile round trip to pick up a part from a Volvo dealer

Not going to be able to roll till morning when a Volvo dealer 5 miles away opens up

But hey that's what the breakdown service approved and if it saves me having to wait at a dealer I'm not going to complain

But I'm a bit concerned with all this back and forth driving the roadside guy is doing, and all the back and forth on the telephone through 3rd parties, that this won't be the right part or there will still be at least one missing part that fell off when the leveler valve blew

After hours wanted to double check and see if I could limp to Richmond bobtail from Inwood WV. I got no air in the airbags till all these parts are back on in the right place! I'd limp it if and only if Joe Jr told me directly that I could limp it. Which I know that he wouldn't because he's not crazy

 

Probably had too much stuff in his truck to give you a place to sit.
