My weekends usually end up being lighter than normal, allowing for harder running during the week.

I'm only guessing cuz I have not, will not, share my truck with a 2 legged (4 leggers ok)....but I run recap cuz don't like having to sit for a 34 if at all possible. But I can't always limit my hours day to day. So I just keep an eye on my available hours for the next 3 or 4 days. If I'm running low I take a lazy paced load and get back some working hours. I mean you get 70 and with 2 drivers if theoretically each runs 10.5 and a 30 while the other is off duty that's 22 hours of a day. So it would take 6.5 days of nothing but driving to run out of hours. But nobody just drives. Flatbedders exercise on the portable gym and box pullers watch movies while lumpers have a 7hr rave party in the trailer. So there's some hours left unused every few days. Doesn't seem to difficult to stay running for weeks on end with 2. I can do it solo for 4-6 weeks with very little hassle.

yeah it's hard to run out of hours running team. But you can. Figure coast to coast is about 50 hrs driving so, a turn takes 5 days, you get 5800 mi depending on start and end spots. Also allow for loading/unloading time unless you do drop/hook 100% of the time. Only takes 1 driver to fuel/load/unload also. Best to get in a rhythm and one drives nights the other days. One can shower while the other fuels if timed properly. Hope you don't get a partner that has to stop every 100 mi for a soda or wee-wee break. Can you say "aggrevating" ? A good running team can stop the truck 4 hrs a day and still make deliveries on time. That 4 hrs feels good for sleep, truck ain't moving, right ? Have fun ! :biggrin_25520:

After eight days, your first day's hours fall off, and you can run them on the eighth day. Then on the ninth day, your second day's hours fall off, and you can run them. If you do it right, you can run forever without having to 34hr reset.

Basically you work forever, but make less money in the same timeframe than just running out the clock each day.

I'm local but I know what a 14 or more hour day is. Today started at 330am maybe I'll be done before 8pm. I'll walk away with $335 plus detention.
