I think there is some sort of driver shortage in that there is a large and growing number of unfilled job openings, but I also think there's unaccounted variables such as when a driver becomes an o/o, he creates a job opening even though he's still in a truck on the road.

    Really?
Maybe the pay bump comes from the new ownership Transwood?
I see they have like 20 new trucks at the yard which are a mix of day cabs and single sleepers.
Not slip seating would definitely be a plus.

    bzinger Thanks this.

I won’t be slip seating at this time. I’m out in rural Mn. Believe they were only hiring one position for this terminal. I was hired with no hazmat. Took the test on Monday passed. Did fingerprints today. Have drug test and dot physical on Friday. Start orientation on Tuesday next week.

Owning a truck is like marrying a woman; not many men want to have a (second) wife for at least 5 years.:D

I didn't realize how much they have grown until now when I looked them up ....they have always been big into concrete in Louisville Nebraska but have branched out apparently.

    Bwahahahahhahahahha!!!!!!!

I tend to think the recruiters are posting these silly "not enough drivers to fill the seats" stories. Treat the driver better. Pay us by the hour. Then see how hard it is to get drivers
