So how do you do it? What address do you have on file with the DMV, IRS, and banks? How do you get your mail? Where have you put your stuff that you couldn't fit in the truck? What do you do when the company takes the truck from you? Where do you park your personal car?

I intend to live in the truck to save money and buy a house. Your suggestions will be highly appreciated.

    Thank you

It can be done but you have to had a somewhere you established residency before you received your license. You are going to have family or a friend's place to receive your mail. The company you go to work for will want to know where do you reside. They are going to want to know where have you lived in the past 3 years. You want to have a balance in life even we you are making sacrifices to achieve goals. To be honest you can afford yourself an apartment so you do have somewhere to break away from work. You can still achieve your goal of buying your house and still maintain balance in your life. That's my outlook. All the best on your journey.

I have a storage unit, a mailbox in A UPS store, and a semi truck parking space paid monthly where I park my personal vehicle. When I come to town to run errands, I just put the truck in the spot and go do my stuff. If I ever want some time off, I check into a nice hotel for a while and give it the ol' Fear and Loathing treatment.

UPS mailboxes only work in some states. You increase your chances by not identifying it as a box. Just use the word "unit" or the # sign. You can try by getting one you like, renting it for the shortest duration, getting your required documents mailed to it to show residency, and then stroll into the DMV all relaxed and casual and offer as little information as you can get away with.

Another option for mail is South Dakota. Super easy to get residency there.

May I ask why you don't park your personal vehicle in the company terminal?

Absolutely you may ask. I own the company, but I haven't bought a terminal yet.

Buying a truck is super easy when youre not dumping cash into a home.

But yeah, if it's a company truck, then you don't gotta pay for parking.

I got a PO Box before I gave up my apartment (you need current proof of residency for it), put most everything in storage and then changed my address for everything to a nearby relatives place. Used to park my car there but now I just park it at the terminal and drive “home” when I’ve got business to take care of where I used to live. Wasn’t hard and it’s saved me a boat load of money.

The problem is that I don't have a relative around here. So my only option would be to pay something like 50 bucks a month to my landlord and somehow convince him to let me have his address. Do you think he would allow me?
