I retired from doing the Hunts Point terminal market 4 years ago ...every week was .
    Mountain states Rosen.
    Pork king .
    Westside foods .
    Nebraskaland .
    Westside kosher .
    Fancy foods .
Made some friends there and the Cafe had good food along with some good entertainment at times .
It was cool to watch the market come to life about 3am .
I'm older and have moved on to easier ways to make a living ...good memories tho

Im in Northwestern Ontario. Some of our drivers trailers are piggy backed by rail as there is no road access

The problem is, the company has many more runs than drivers. Looks as if they have high dollar customers also.
"We are focused on serving the finest restaurants, hotels, caterers, gourmet stores."
Yeah, they can afford $3K a week until they get the open drivers positions filled with full-time drivers.

Last week I say an Independant O/O with a Big Pete/sleeper Road Truck, pulling a Local Grocery Trailer. Making restaurant deliveries. Must be paying good. Never saw that before.

Another point to consider is that when that meat load leaves the pack plant in the midwest headed for the bronx the kill date and time is stamped on every box .
If the load is more than about a day late to the wholesaler they will ding the packer on the price as the retailer will ding the wholesalers on product not considered fresh .
So imagine being a wholesaler the size of Nebraskaland with a few mill worth of fresh beef sitting in the cooler going out of date because they can't get it to the retailer .
I've had few loads out of Nebraska going to points east where I ran into closed roads and the packer was up my arse over being dinged over kill dates .

For that kind of money and free accommodation I might check in a week or two to see if they are still looking. It would be interesting if anyone from the forum took a job and reviewed it.
