Ok so my terminology is off....they have been doing research in preparation for the vaccines. I still won't call it rushed. The fact is some people have side effects. If a shot or any other medication came out for HIV or cancer prevention, I don't know that it would get this much backlash.

I’m sure there will be people out there making fake papers saying you have been vaccinated if it comes to that.
I like manuals, americantrucker89, AModelCat and 2 others Thank this. -
Normal people have never had to get a real vaccine (the flu shot doesn’t count) and the side effects weren’t expressed hard enough.
I refused to get the cholera vaccine when I worked for the UN because it was an experimental vaccine not approved by the FDA. Six months later while curled into the fetal position and fluids coming out of every orifice for a week straight I had plenty of time to rethink my decisions on “experimental” vaccines.Last edited: Jun 25, 2021

The USA can’t mandate it because commerce would essentially stop. Rates would go to $10/mi or higher.
Companies can mandate it but I guess little fleets like mine will have a huge influx of available drivers and will grow “bigly”. The megas and their lobbies won’t want that!Accidental Trucker, americantrucker89, BoostedTeg and 3 others Thank this. -

as for hiv, they have a shield drug which is a joke.
cancer is too complex, the hpv vaccine was also rushed into production with a lack of testing, and approved but this is another case where the companies’ adverse events data is scrubbed for public consumption and does not give a true representation of problems with it, and parents are quick to get their kids as young as 8 inoculated.a.paul, Trucker61016, Midwest Trucker and 4 others Thank this. -
All this upheaval for a disease that spreads VERY easily, and yet........
Has a 95% to 98% SURVIVAL RATE.
I don't understand.
But I'll use a quote that seems to work for another group, and they're not even slightly contagious.......
"Keep your laws off my body".
Just sayin'. I'm out.I like manuals, AModelCat and N00bLaLoosh Thank this. -

I realize the “tone” is different at different regions of the country, but in general as truck drivers are not sheep thinking people. That’s why we went into truck driving, to get away from the sheeple. Anyhow, I’d venture to bet that 75% or more of OTR drivers are not wanting the vaccine. Companies who require it are likely going to get a lot of backlash and lose many drivers.
I don’t trust anything surrounding covid, the vaccine, any of it. I truly feel as though it’s a conspiracy of some kind and we haven’t heard the last of any of this.
I’m not getting any of their experimental vaccines. If my company goes against my god given right to manage my own health? I’ll move to a company that doesn’t.Sether, I like manuals, americantrucker89 and 4 others Thank this.
