How about you go with my initial thought and listen to someone when they claim racism? Be objective for a change......

The problem I have with the OP is she didn't actually claim racism. That didn't stop her from calling for a boycott though.

This statement/idea could only be born of willful ignorance. Nobody could possibly be dumb enough to actually believe that's the way things should be. Being ignorant on purpose in order to bolster an argument has become a goto tactic for lazy polemicists.

Stop being lazy, go do your homework, then come back with an argument that at least has enough merit to be heard.

The word is so overused anymore it’s now like the boy who cried wolf. Usually when I hear the “R” word it’s no more than somebody whining because they didn’t get their way and somebody must pay for it, preferably somebody with skin lighter than theirs, and arriving for a shower too late is no different.

I understand where you're coming from. As a person of color, I never play the race card. Honestly, I can't say that I've experience a whole lot of racist issues. Even though I don't experience them, I will still listen. I find it important to be aware of what's happening in society. I think it's good to listen to an objective ear, because sometimes it is racism and other times it isn't. In the OP's case, it's really inconclusive. She was there and we weren't. I don't totally dismiss it because prejudices, stereotypes, and racists are very much live in our industry. I've seen instances on TTR that were a bit out of line, in my opinion. In 12 years, maybe twice I've experienced a little prejudice. It sucks but out here, I gotta have a short memory about that stuff because it's on to the next load. That's how I cope. Not everyone copes like me, so that's why I listen to what others go through and try not to downplay it. That's why I am encouraging folks to listen objectively, some may heed what I'm saying others may not. It ain't in everyone's capabilities to try to relate or understand others that don't look or think like them.
