Best of luck. I hope it works out for you but I'd probably try to fight it now and get it reduced so you can stay with the company.
Are you paying for the hotel room for tonight or are they covering it? If you get let go tomorrow are they going to charge you for that?
Does this company have maroon trucks and would you be under contract with them even though you have your CDL? PM me the answer on that if you don't want to post it here. Thanks

Look first of all chill. Have a smoke, rub one out, get some icecream whatever. Before you do ANYTHING calm down. Next dont tell the company. You havent had your day in court YET so legally its not on your record. Now once your calm go talk to a lawyer. In most cases its free to talk to them and get an opinion and many will happily offer payment plans if required. Though for a passenger its usually maybe a couple hundred bucks. And even if not you have options to get some short term cash.

Most lawyers can get it reduced or changed to a non moving violation of some sort. Ezpecially if its been years since your last mistake. Your going to eat the fine no matter what but thats fine too. Courts will USUALLY work with you on payments. They just want the money, they dont care if its right now or 6 months as long as you stick to the plan you both agree to.

Take it as the object lesson it is. Not as the end of the world. And even IF your lawyer is an incompitent rube and fumbles the ticket, many other companys will still hire you and in a couple years the ticket wont matter as much if at all to MOST companys.

If you can seriously make 7-800 a week for doordash you are better off sticking with that. You won’t make that much starting out with a mega.

I hate to break it to you OP but if you have not maintained a current medical card the past 12 years and provided your state DMV with a copy of it you do not have a CDL. You will have to start from scratch.

. Do what you feel comfortable with I guess. I think it’s a mistake though. You haven’t gotten a violation yet, only been accused. Clean record, Lawyer will surely get it reduced. Good chance turned into a non moving violation. By then you’ll be Driving again. The Company probably won’t run your MVR for another year, as required by Law. Even if they do, and fire you. Another Job is right up the road. Meanwhile you’ll have a months wages to pay the Lawyer and fines.

Not that it matters, but what state did you get your ticket in? Some states depending on where you got the ticket, and the judge in that particular county, will sometimes dismiss the ticket if the attorney knows the judge real well, or reduce it to failure to obey sign. There are some judges that can t stand truckers either so good luck

Why would you get sent home over a simple speeding ticket..you.already have a spotless driving record..Also 15 over is not reckless driving..it's has to be 25 mph over at least around here

I would tell them and not sweat it. As far as fighting it good luck..do it yourself and explain to the judge your situation..he might keep it off your record.

Oh come on!!! I know you’re trying to help the guy, but at least be honest and post a more accurate picture of what their trucks actually look like.

Check with the state first. I live in WA. State and if I got a ticket could have it deffered. Basically it does not go on my record. I am not convicted. I agree to attend a safety class and if I receive another ticket in the next two years the deffered ticket becomes a conviction. I watched my son go through the process. I hope that you have that option where you are. Best of luck.
