The OM is like,"Are we being punished?"

And I'm like,"I'm pretty sure we are."

We just split a Country fried steak and mashed potato dinner at the old place on 30/24 in Ft Wayne. It was pretty good. Now it’s a Pilot. Really gone to the Dogs. Still has restaurant though. Debating on Truck wash now or later. My tire and alignment place is across the street. That’ll have to wait.

I failed to prepare with a full thermos yesterday.

I figured, "I'm at a Penna Tpk service plaza, of COURSE there will be coffee....."

And there was. Decaf was half full, house blend was half full, others being cleaned by a dour, purple-haired young lady of about 23 years and 350 pounds.

It tasted like she divided a 1/4 pot of decaf with the house blend pot, and used hot water to bring 'em both up to halfway.

When I cross into Ohio, I find out something I've always suspected but couldn't confirm: none of the service plazas east of Fremont have the 7-11 stores, just a food court and vending machines.

Around 630am I found a plaza with an Einstein's Bagels that was open.

$2.49 for some "Artisan Roast" that smelled great, tasted a bit acidic with a chalky and bitter finish reminiscent of cigarette ash and black licorice.

I didn't get a decent cuppa joe until noon, when I stopped at the Love's on Plank Rd in Milan, MI, on the way back to Dayton after the drop.

I think that's the last straw. I'm'a get me one of those 3000w inverters and use a household coffee machine in the truck.

Make it your best 2 years, my friend.
Life sucks sometimes, but death pretty much sucks all the time (unless it's someone you don't like. Then it's pretty ok.).
I wish you happy days, fat babies, and cold beer.
    Keep us in mind
