slowly but they do have option now. i think this technology is not for everyone there.

faymonville started to make their american range, first was 9 axle, with double telesope. now they offer jeep dolly and 3axle booster, so now it is 15axles.
there was scheuerle 9 axles(they dont longer do this)
goldhofer, they recently released p12 plus, lightweight modular trailer up to 15axles

    P12 PLUS

as much i understand your laws dont give any weight benefit for pendel instead of rigid axle? it is same here.
most of europe give benefits for individual axles.

lowest you can go with pendel is 790mm with 245/70r17.5 wheels, this is bottom end, driving height is mostly 850mm. for weight yes, it is not lightest, at least 4400lbs for one axle and its piece of frame.

there are other alternative choices, you can get independent suspension as you have in car, there are double wishbone suspensions. it is always problem with them and camber, they require more maintanance, but are very light.
lightest of all trailer axle systems is this onescopic , law see it as separate axles so you get 12t in europe.

    Oxbow Thanks this.

it will be same, but with pendel or hydraulic suspension on rigid axles give like 2x more suspension travel and you can go to much worst places

recently someone posted video of american heavy haulage truck that had steering failure on trailer and end up outside of road, they had to some very difficult wrecking to get it out. with pendel you wont sit with belly on road

lowest platform trailers we have use 205/65r17.5 tires, they ride at 755mm loaded, little bit less 30inch. but such tires bring huge compromise, they are mostly limited in speed to 50mph at 18k lbs, 16.7k at 62mph. i think best we have now are 18k at 55mph
most will use 235/75 17.5 or 245/70 17.5, they hold weight good but wont be happy with your 100+kmh speeds

how about hydraulic trailer neck? we start to use them when it get serious, otherwise no traction.

as for low deck trailer, lower you go it will be heavier or weaker.
lowest we ever sold was 8inch, but it was single, non extendable deck, about 30ft long for forest equipment.

thing about bridge law kill all benefits of pendel. unless it is something very long, like boilers etc.
