Time to research

You should be able to get a listing of all TA sites, and within that list will live most former Burns Brothers, Union 76, TPOA, Rip Griffins, etc. You will need to recognize them by their location but you can probably do that OK. If you have questions about specific sites I might be able to help.

Finding the old Burns Brothers shouldn't be too hard. They only had about 24 locations at their peak. I'll
ask my uncle; he loved Burns Brothers. Went with him to Mrs. B's Homestyle restaurant in Overton,
Nebraska once. Some of the best food ever! A few locations I know for sure used to be Burns Brothers
are Corning, CA (now a T/A); Overton, Nebraska (now an Indian-owned place called Jay Brothers); and
Wilsonville, Oregon (demolished).

Burns Brothers T/S Walcott,IA
It is now a RV dealer. Southwest corner of the freeway intersection. Across the street from the Pilot on the southeast corner. It stayed open for a while after T/A bought them, but seems like they closed it when the did the big remodel over at Iowa 80.
There was another Burns Bros in western Iowa, can't remember the exit. It was a small one, no restaurant, just a basic fuel stop. It sat on a northeast corner of the intersection on a high bluff. Out in the middle of nowhere.

 

Union 76 list may be hard since there were so many of them. Here are some my uncle and I came
up with:
Tuscaloosa, Alabama (now a Pilot); Southington, Connecticut (T/A); Baldwin, Florida (T/A);
Jacksonville South, Florida (T/A); Marianna, Florida (T/A); Vero Beach, Florida (T/A); Wildwood,

Georgia (T/A); Paulsboro, New Jersey (T/A and also a Travel Port for a while); Bloomsbury, New

I always thought Burns Brothers was at the Stockton exit and the Union 76 was where the RV
dealer was now, but hey, I'll take your word for it. I'm a newbie and only in my 30's. Old soul,
you might say.
