Rant: The 5-days-in-a-row workweek is arbitrary and my body doesn't agree with it

I'm 57 and my significant other is 30 ...99% of our Tiffs are over her work as little as possible and money grows on trees attitude....conversely I raised my son with a good work ethic and at 20 he owns a very successful lawn and landscaping business, is working sob and owns toys I couldn't afford .

Bummer…I was so looking to see the smarter worker that was going to show you tough guys that they don’t have to slave at a job 5 days a week to live a life of luxury.

They were going to work part time, hang out with friends, have a big ol time…

…and all of a sudden, realize that they squandered an entire decade. The decade where they were to establish their residence and began their dynasty. But now, they are 10 years behind without a pot to piss in. And they would have said amongst themselves, “those old SOBs were trying to warn us!”

    Party poopers.

I was in my early 20's working second shift at a truck shop with that schedule. Monday to Thursday. 4-10's.

Come August any leftover vacation I took every Thursday off for the month. Had some buddy's with same hours at a factory. One thing we learned. You could spent more money than you made in 3 or 4 days off. But boy did we have fun for a few years.

This is like the whole “I used to work 20 hours a day on paper logs”

If the op pays their bills why’s it make him “lazy” because he isn’t a wage slave.
ole marky mark had an ivory school education.
Mr.Milton also didn’t “work hard” in fact if you knew anything about him, you’d have read he quit working on farm, and left his job at a print shop. He learned candy making at the behest of his mother who paved the way for that education.
Bill also received a higher education provided by his parents.

none of these people are the mythical “factory worker who works hard and inherits the million dollar company”

The I never had help why should I help my kids sentiment was posted earlier…..I have nothing else left to say in this thread.
