Sup drivers, so next week we’re picking up a KW W900L daycab X15 565 1850 with 190k miles for 113k. what y’all think? Should we give it a shot or is the x15 problematic? Or is it too expensive?

if you're "picking it up next week", doesn't that mean you already paid for it?

My bad, I mean it’s reserved for us already but nah we haven’t paid. I still have the choice to take it or leave it

Sounds far too expensive but the X15 engine I’ve had very good luck with. Why a daycab?

I’d love to sell any of my trucks with 190k on them for 113k!

You think so? Too expensive? How
Much you think is a reasonable price? We want a daycab cause we haul logs.

Maybe post some more specs and a pic. I’m just saying a regular daycab road tractor you can get new for around 115 to 120k.

That’s a T680 tho with efficiency x15 and not heavy duty at all.

    Rideandrepair Thanks this.

If your getting extended warranty on the engine may be not too bad a deal. Like my engine has 5 yrs or 400,000 miles which includes the DEF system.
One of the trucks working with us had no 4 rod bearing lock up on it a cpl weeks ago. It has 200,000 miles on this X15. Was bought new so Cummins has decided to put a new engine in the truck, not a crate engine but a complete new engine. Just unbolt the locked up engine and bolt in the new.
Actually, I was impressed with Cummins engine company, not only for there promptness but also how professional they approached this problem.
Sounds to be steep, price that is, like does it have new rubber? You getting warranty on the transmission, clutch, rear ends?
Also, the fact it is a day cab makes the deal a top dollar investment. That and I assume your paying in American dollars. Yeah, I would have to have some really good warranty with the deal.

Rideandrepair and Bean Jr. Thank this.

Yea I see warranty is important. But sadly it will not have warranty. It’s used, so basically it’s a 50/50 shot we’re taking. We don’t have the money to buy new, they’re around 150k. I’ve been for months on x15s and anything above 2018 W900Ls are 100k or more. This truck is a 2018 W900L x15 performance series 565 1850 torque with 190k miles. I personally think 113k is a good deal. You won’t find a used truck like this with warranty for less than 100k. That’s my opinion.

    Rideandrepair Thanks this.

Too much, and without a warranty makes it even worse.
