Older Classic, Classic XL spec sticker model designation

I would run the vin through a dealer. It’s possible that the glove box has been switched out.

Vin will give you all info. Does vin on door and frame match dash.

I would suspect a mix,matched truck. Used dash from a different truck.



They are all FLD. Mine is a FLD 120 Classic.

 

Might want to get the original engine serial # and check it too. Dealer can tell you the manufacture date, in service date, What Country it was assembled, and usually any issues fixed under warranty.

 

Here’s the difference, between 120 and 132. Easy to see the hood length, between fender and Cab. My 99 was a 132, but not technically an XL. Though it was the same as an XL. The XL was a Marketing gimmick, maybe started in 2000, with the Limited edition 84” bunk. Pretty sure XLs were available in 70” bunks, and 84” bunks, and all XLs are 132. The XL, nameplate is under the door. My 2000 84” bunk has it, Says Limited edition XL Classic. I think the 70” bunk just says XL Classic. My 99 just had a Freightliner Logo. Everything except the bunk size are the same, between my 99 and 2000.
