Drivewise phone app... sure does report a lot of things...to Allstate insurance...about how customers drive...I'd guess the Peoplenet version does much more Screenshot_20210730-063713_Chrome.jpg

I think the reason they went with Drivewyze is because it allows the safety tracking...so then it allows companies to employ, as Drivewyze calls it, 'coaching' drivers... another words, someone behind a desk thousands of miles away, that knows nothing about driving a truck, has the opportunity to tell an experienced driver how to drive, based on this stupid box's b.s.

Not only does this Drivewyze warn you about rollover locations, but warns you about marked downgrades and marked runaway escape ramps. So...it's safer, according to the geniuses who set this crap up, to take my eyes off the road (where the signs are within the drivers field of view) and glance down at a bright yellow warning that popped up on my Peoplenet (that you only initially saw with your peripheral vision), thus distracting the driver briefly on a major downgrades and curves. I guess, if the driver f's up, then they can blame him/her for distracted driving. And for what...this system is supposed to be better than Prepass? So far I have had 2 bypasses on closed scales, 1 pull in if open on a closed scale, 2 bypasses on open scales and 3 pull-in if open on scales that weren't Drivewyze participants... boy that's worth the money

Without a fleet volume discount, Drivewyze said it's $17.99/mo. Not sure if all the safety tracking costs extra or not. Prepass, without any fleet discount is $17.65/mo...but they don't get to track you with Prepass like they do with the Safety+ Drivewyze nanny system.

Their isn’t a fleet discount…I’ve used it as part of a fleet and that was the price as well for the fleet.

Really? I figured that if they had 5000 units added to their system they'd at least give them a buck or two off each one each month....what a bunch of cheap #####...if I were a mega interested in doing a volume business with them, and they didn't give any kind of incentive to sign up, they wouldn't get my business.

It's more about tracking the driver than convenience of bypassing scales for the driver. Just like the new camera system in the windshield of the Junk-liners...they can track your reaction to every beep the nanny systems blair out. It isn't about driver assistance, it's about handholding and chastising. They can't attract good drivers, so they get mediocre drivers then track, nag, and complain at them. Then the more nanny systems they install, the lower their standards for hiring get just to keep up with turnover.

Lonesome, Bumper, Farmerbob1 and 2 others Thank this.
