This is a new level of incompetence. All I can say is, if you want a real stressful work day, if you want to be stranded with no load, and constantly lied to? This company is for you

Its a real shame what a lot of these companies are doing. Really awful.
DrummingTrucker, Crusader66 and bzinger Thank this. -
I like to give everyone the benefit of doubt for myself, but when you see the constant reviews about them and all being about management, you take heed lol Most incompetent trucking company I've ever ran across in my 17 years of doing this.

I know a guy who quit, was there from Salmon, told them his truck had a bad exhaust leak, they told him the load had to go, he said he wasn’t driving it, you could smell it in cab, so it was, “Drive it or go home.”
So, he went home, they didn’t realize he was just driving because he loves driving, gets him out of house, he draws Social Security, doesn’t live extravagant, and can get a job about anywhere, 30+ years experienceMnmover99, Willmann30, Lostmykey and 3 others Thank this. -
Saw a wrecker dragging one of theyre wrecked trucks down the shoulder of the road tonight near jersey shore penn .

I have been hauling mail since 2004, with Pat Salmon, MCofA, Eagle Express Lines, now all a part of the Company they call 10 Roads. Alot of things have changed since the merger, some good , some awful. I have seen many drivers come and go the last 2 years and there is currently such a driver shortage with this company alot of the mail loads are being pulled by outside companies, lease drivers, brokered drivers etc.
Sure, we work for some incompetent management who have never spent a day in the transportation industry until the were hired here because their resume said they could open computer programs and they could answer a phone.
Sure the benefits package is not like the other companies out there in the freight hauling world.
Sure we have driver facing cameras in the truck, lane departure recording, loud audio warning when we get to close to the vehicle in front of us.
Sure the truck we parked in the yard 11 hours ago has up and left, now we start our workday being put on hold for 45 minutes, waiting for our "24 hour support team" to tell us what truck we can use tonight. Slipseating is the new way of life with 10 Roads.
So why am I still here you ask ?
$31 an hour any day I drive the truck, plus $5 and hour extra working weekends
Social security is available in Decemberxlsdraw, Lonesome, bzinger and 1 other person Thank this. -

my only complaint about 10 roads is: i have yet to find one that will facilitate a pass on a 2 lane road. quite annoying, as i encounter these guys several times a month on 2 lane roads.

I do not have the company medical insurance as my family is covered by my military retirement plan, I see the rates every year when the benefits package has to be renewed and medical is not cheap with this company. dental and vision is about 30 a paycheck. Even so it is mostly paid via the 6.11 an hour the company is paying for the first 40 hours a week with the H&W rate.
They do not have a retirement pension here but the 401K I have been contributing to since 2009 and has accumulated a nice nest egg. enough to pay for my Winnebago when I decide to hang up the cdl and become a campground gypsy.
The company is far from perfect. Ignore the beancounters and do your job and go home.
