Went back to being an OO and only thing I have left was my FEIN, new DOT # and insurance companies are treating as a new driver, so? Just looking to see who every is using today, why, and affordability, thanks

Progressive seems to be a common choice for new numbers.

I use Great West, under 8g a year. Great coverage. Not sure about new entrant coverage.

Progressive was pretty much my only option for 2 years, 23k first 17k second, going to start shopping shortly for renewal

Progressive. 11k first year, 13k renewal quote. "Cost of doing business in Texas went up.", They said. They used to play that BS excuse on my personal vehicles too, yet with GEICO, my insurance went down two years in a row...

So now I'm shopping around. Probably going with Great West at 16k. And yes, I'm petty enough to eat three grand.:mad:

Though I agree I'm curious to see what happens for all of us no matter what insurance company. The simple fact, as I see it, is that there are more idiots driving (and crashing) trucks. As long as they are out there our insurance will constantly go up, no matter who your personal insurance is with.

I'm with Progressive in 4th year. First and second they were cheapest, then Northland was cheapest, now back to Progressive which is cheapest.

I don't care whose name is on it, personally. They are all crooks. Just give me the cheapest without sacrificing coverage.

First was with progressive and then went Haz which they don’t do so went to Midwest. After a few years of that I needed more broad Haz coverage and great west was the answer.

Great West. Actually cheaper than what Regressive quoted me. Really in my opinion, your agent is what makes or breaks it. My agent is awesome, and Great West is ok I guess.

Great West. Cheapest of the 3 places I called. Haven’t used them on a claim, so unsure if they will be great. Not trying to find out ;)

I got unlucky my first year with them and had a truck hit the ditch. Solo black ice accident. They paid no problem and renewed me the next year. They seem to be a long term type of carrier so to speak. I will say Great West is much more in top of things with safety, checking in, assessing your program, etc but if your on point then they get that things do happen. I honestly can’t complain.
