You got Superman vision dude! I look like a superhero when I tarp a load, or, at least like I've got a cape.

Is this a dump truck? Heavy spec steer axle. Nice catch on the steer tire. Driver was probably along for the ride before he even knew what happened.
NavigatorWife, Tb0n3 and lovesthedrive Thank this. -
I thought it was illegal for retreads to be on steering axle. Side wall is a different color than the tread
D.Tibbitt, Bud A. and Trucker61016 Thank this. -
Most likely not a retread but those floats like to roll the sidewall a bit when turning hard so most likely scrubbed the dirt off when he started his fun adventure of a wreck or when he came out of the job site.
Bud A. Thanks this. -
CFR 393.75 to be specific.
Part D applies to buses and states:”No bus shall be operated with regrooved, recapped or retreaded tires.”
Part E states: “A regrooved tire with a load carrying capacity equal to or greater than 2,232 kg(4,920 pounds)shall not be used on the front wheels of ANY truck or truck tractor.”
At any rate the driver might be in hot water with Connecticut State Police.NavigatorWife and Bud A. Thank this. -
Roger McG, mjd4277 and Cattleman84 Thank this.

Ironman is not my first chose for a steer tire ,especially on the steer of a dump truck carrying so much of the load. in fact no Chinese or Korean or Vietnamese tire belongs on a steer axle IMO
NavigatorWife and Tb0n3 Thank this. -
Probably was playing playstation or watching a movie.
