Load board posts are a starting point that serves mainly as an introduction. Once you establish some working relationships, you depend less and less on the load boards. You'll have a short list of people you know who usually have what you want and start with them. Look at the board just to see volume and make sure your offered rates are in line with the market.
Maybe I missed it, but if you share what kind of equipment you have, someone will pipe up with some generalizations. Nobody is going to give up their golden goose, but may talk in general terms of where opportunity exists or not, along with how rates on a particular lane/commodity might run.SL3406 and blairandgretchen Thank this. -

You started this thread so clearly you want to be an o/o. I suggest you raid your wife's purse and snag your balls back.God prefers Diesels Thanks this. -
When me and my wife first met, I interviewed with CR England. (Yes, I was even dumber then than I am now) It was thirty days out at a time.
After the interview, we're outside. I'm all bright eyed and bushy tailed with a smile on my face. I said: "So whaddya think?!"
She literally burst into tears on the spot.SL3406, blairandgretchen and Speed_Drums Thank this. -

Some of y’all need to get your families in order.
if you gotta run on your own to feed the family then the family needs to understand. Everywhere I look someone is afraid of the wife. If your not happy with your current job then your going to stay unhappy. Move to something you like and spouses need to understand sometimes sacrifices are needed.
Also if your break even is $2.5 then your bound fo failure when industry hits downturn.
my suggestion is get a truck run Power Only for For a big outfit.
$1.2-$1.50 is the target break even point so you can at least stay afloat during the downturn.SL3406 Thanks this. -
That's my piece. I honestly don't really give AF if you agree.Badmon, 86scotty, JustCallMeDriver and 5 others Thank this.
