Did I just hear a truck driver say kerfuffle? I just don't know what the world is coming to.

Forget the rates, we have worse problems when truck drivers start talking like this.

Next we'll be paying for wine bar reservations at truck stops instead of parking places.

That might be a reservation worth paying for on the road if the cheese is also good

I pull dry van and do the unsophisticated load board freight, including click and go. I finished July with over 30K and this month already in 14K or revenue on 4 500 miles and I don't think it is bad based on what I saw in the past.
As far as I am concerned, the last few weeks are as good as any other this year. So I don't know why you are bringing such news.
I would not mind a little cool down to have an opportunity to slow down. The more the good time roll, the bitter and longer down cycle will be too, as it will take some time for all that capacity to melt down to the point of stabilization. This is not it yet.

Things are slowing down.
Two weeks ago DAT showed -10% load to truck for flatbed.
Last week another -4% down again from previous week.

However I guess you are special doing the opposite the trend. Congrats.

Last week was my best week of the year and this week is shaping up to be another great one.

I figured it was a matter of time before the I won't do this, or I won't do that , or I won't go here or I won't go there crowd started to complain.

These guys won't tarp, won't haul anything that weighs more than 10k, won't chain, but wanna play flatbedders.

Yep we are again saturated with trucks and drivers, it will get better when the rates drop and people go out of business, then rates will again rise.

Everyone wants to make the big bucks, there are a lot of arm chair fleet owners now and I expect they will be out of business by the time the 2022 recession starts.

Our own personal chicken little, remember that hes the guy that jumps ship to anything that LOOKS good for 2 weeks then whines that he cant buy his preferred trailer to get back to what he was doing that was steady.

I've seen a drop in rates on our board over the last month. Unfortunately fuel prices seem to be taking an opposite trend.
