I agree. By the time you travel to and from work, plus work 60 to 65 hours per week. You basically have time to ####, shower, and shave, maybe grab dinner with the family if you’re lucky. It’s a grind. More so then OTR guys think it is.
Edit: I should say more then regional home weekend guys think it is. *

There is a shortage of truck drivers but no shortage of steering wheel holders. Your stuff will make it to the supermarket, it just takes an hour for them to back it in.

Despite the usual it's always been this way comments, there has been a HUGE increase in foreign drivers in the past couple years. I believe many of them are running teams and being overworked as most seem tired I've run across.

Aussie drivers would come to the USA but apparently they do not put up with #### and swear too much to meet US English standards. Sounds like a perfect match to me

Drivers will bail on those driver facing cameras too. More of shortage. Swift switched back to outward facing cams after many drivers bailed. They were probably going to leave anyways, but these cameras rushed that along. So, they switched back. So did werner I was told.

This article sums up the driver shortage myth very well. And it is just that, at myth.
