This is what entertains me about this thread.

The Northeast is tight. Philadelphia Boston all these cities were built for horse and Buggies not for a 53-foot tractor-trailer.

So if someone says a smaller truck is easier to get in, somehow they're hating and talking bad about the big trucks...

I see no correlation between the two but I guess nowadays everybody looks at everything under a microscope and whenever somebody somewhere says something about something somewhere somehow somebody in some way will think something of it and take offense I suppose

And by the way I started this thread asking the question why. Several people have given me good reasons why. That's great.

I don't give a rats ####in ### if somebody spends 40 billion dollars on their house, not my problem. I do find it interesting when people are all concerned somebody with a nice car, truck, whatever lives in a trailer house, what's with that?
Believe I saw that W9 or its twin on Truckpaper a while back, it's around the 280 mark I believe, I'd drive that sucker around without a problem.

What's so hard to understand about the simple concept of somebody with a stretched out long hood isn't dumb enough to end up in those ####holes? I've been in some tight places with my little 275 inch W9 and triple axle hopper, literally back alleys in small towns, it's not that difficult really. I had that thing in a small ### steel mill in Detroit once, just because you can't see how something gets done or do it yourself doesn't mean it's impossible.

If you notice he hasn’t posted in this thread after being asked multiple times for the address of this place that probably doesn’t exist.

As far as the post you quoted me on, the title of this thread and the similarity to your previous post gives off the air of you talking trash about other owner operators. There are long trucks in the northeast every day because that’s what some prefer to drive. Even the company I run for has drivers in company trucks that run 48 states with 300” WB.

Back in the mid-80’s my dad bought his first conventional and it was 250” WB and everyone swore up and down he wouldn’t be able to get around with it but somehow that truck made it into all the places his cabover went. Maybe some are just better drivers than others.

It’s easy to stand head and shoulders above the rest when everybody that can’t do it is busy saying it cannot be done: while those that can, do it.

60” flat top sleeper. He liked the way it looked.

When I bought mine it had the 72” studio that I took off and put a 42” flat top on still 270” wb. I like it
