Got a Quick Question, I have a load that I picked up on Wednesday and delivering Friday at 5am, I checked it at my appointment time , and the receiver told me my appointment was set for the week after my appointment on a Thursday, now waiting on the broker who is Jbhunt to get back to me if I can get unloaded today, but can I take back the load to the shipper which is 800 miles away and still get paid. I do not want to wait a week, two states away from home. My rate-con was set for Friday and I made it on time what can I do?
Broker Gave me Wrong delivery date, sitting now and waiting.

here’s the bad part, once you go down that road that broker will forever not work with you. -
Dino soar, ibcalm19 and TheLoadOut Thank this.

Grease some palms and see if they can sneak it in. #### situation all around. As far as JB is concerned they don't give a #### even if they're telling you "we're working on it". Do what ya gotta do to get it off asap.
If they won't take it early and you can take it back and still get paid I'd be all over that right now and chalk it up to not use them again
EDIT. Apparently I can't read Lol. I read it as they said you can bring it back and they would pay you. Oops.
Reefer or van? A few Ben Franklin's might make them forget you can't deliver til next week. If i was in your shoes I'd do that. I'd eat a few hundred doing that instead of having to sit on it for a week. Money talks.Last edited: Aug 27, 2021
Speed_Drums and Dino soar Thank this. -
@Dino soar and you have some stuff in common. He was just dealing with this bs

I know it's 800 miles but if they're going to pay you the same rate to take it back I would take it back.
Just make sure before you move you have a rate con that spells out that you're going to take the load back and get paid for it and get paid for the original load.
Get a voice recorder for your phone and every time you talk to someone in the beginning just quickly say this call is being recorded.
Try to do whatever you can through email and make sure that they confirm they're paying you for both loads and they clearly spell everything out so you have it in writing.
There are a lot of good Brokers out there but the Shady ones I mean they... Just get everything in writing and document it
I agree with Brett though if you can find somebody and slide him a hundred bucks or whatever you might just be able to get out of there. -

LoneRanger and 6wheeler Thank this.

I really expected to eat that load but was surprised when they actually paid it. They still send me emails with loads which promptly get deleted.Speed_Drums Thanks this.
