Broker Gave me Wrong delivery date, sitting now and waiting.

legally you can store the load and charge broker for it as well as other charges.

here’s the bad part, once you go down that road that broker will forever not work with you.

 

They'll expect you to wait til next week and won't pay you a dime! "We're working on it and will let you know when we find out"

 

My response is while you're working on it. I'll drop it off at your place and when you get it worked out more money & correct appointment. I'll see if I'm still available. People are pathetic to not value a person's time. They are the first ones crying a river's worth. I'll be like don't call me again

 

Grease some palms and see if they can sneak it in. #### situation all around. As far as JB is concerned they don't give a #### even if they're telling you "we're working on it". Do what ya gotta do to get it off asap.

If they won't take it early and you can take it back and still get paid I'd be all over that right now and chalk it up to not use them again

EDIT. Apparently I can't read Lol. I read it as they said you can bring it back and they would pay you. Oops.

Reefer or van? A few Ben Franklin's might make them forget you can't deliver til next week. If i was in your shoes I'd do that. I'd eat a few hundred doing that instead of having to sit on it for a week. Money talks.

I know it's 800 miles but if they're going to pay you the same rate to take it back I would take it back.

Just make sure before you move you have a rate con that spells out that you're going to take the load back and get paid for it and get paid for the original load.

Get a voice recorder for your phone and every time you talk to someone in the beginning just quickly say this call is being recorded.

Try to do whatever you can through email and make sure that they confirm they're paying you for both loads and they clearly spell everything out so you have it in writing.

There are a lot of good Brokers out there but the Shady ones I mean they... Just get everything in writing and document it

I agree with Brett though if you can find somebody and slide him a hundred bucks or whatever you might just be able to get out of there.

 

I would try the sand thing. See if sliding a hundred. Maybe even 200$ would get that off quicker. Brokers would steal everything from you. Never accept a load under 3$ a mile

They pulled that #### on me. I dropped the load at their Dallas yard, left the bills with the trailer and informed them where it was at.

I really expected to eat that load but was surprised when they actually paid it. They still send me emails with loads which promptly get deleted.
