How many miles a week will I be able to do?

We are still governed by the 70hr 8 day rule so many companies will get their drivers home each weekend to take advantage of the 34 hour reset.

Factor out about an hour per day for loading, unloading, fueling and inspections. In a 6 day work week that will still allow 64 hours that "could" be logged as driving. So figure 64 hours at your average rate of speed and you will have a pretty good "guesstimate" of what you "could" achieve.

Some companies have their trucks governed to 60 mph, others are 65, others are 75, and still others have no governor except the drivers "discretion."

The key to making money as an OTR driver is to turn as many miles as possible, make yourself available for more work by delivering early (when possible) and get home.

 

alot of these truckers are living a sad sad life. the most i’ve made in one week is 3600 and i’m just a company driver. cant say its easy to find this kind of company it took 5 years but they’re out here. if you’re even making 1500 a week you’re suffering. look at the load boards you’ll see

 

Now that could be a subject of some perfect debate.
(His should be capitalized in this context, by the way.)

The Holy Spirit is a part of the Spirit that is apart from the whole of the Spirit.
The Son is able to be tempted.
God, the Father, encompasses - and is - all of good and evil by His very nature.

Satan is also perfect, in that Satan is the other part of the Spirit excluded from the Holy Spirit.

And every one of us is perfect as well, as we are the manifestation of some part of God the Father.



And no, I am not starting a debate here.
Just some food for thought.
Because before you throw out the term 'perfect', you have to define what perfect is - and in what context.

Thanks @Moosetek13 .....I do it quite frequently. I have replied with a small book to a 10 year old thread on several occasions!

 

My all time best was just shy of 4450ish miles. Ran my 70 down to within less than 5 minutes of illegal, and had a 34 hour reset done before I got anything back on recap.
Felt like garbage, and slept through half of the 34. At my current company, I have done just over 4000 a couple times.

 

I average 3000-3300 Paid Miles per week. That is PLENTY for this old man!

 

I just started OTR but so far I'm between 3000-4000 miles a week. 0.61 cpm with 0.02 safety bonus and profit sharing.

 

Trav, how long have you been with FFE? That sounds pretty good if you can get some hometime to enjoy it.

 

I was with them for over 3 years.

Im doing OTR with Shaffer. I just save most of it. I may end up paying cash for a house one day. But "enjoying" it, well I am kind of boring.

Shaffer gets you home every 21 days unless you say you want to stay out, which I do.

I'm taking hometime in October. I don't need to go home before that right now.
