Delivered to a Meijer DC just outside of Detroit and was bobtailing to a local Walmart to restock on supplies. Truck blew a DEF coolant line under the cab on 275. Managed to get off the freeway onto a local road. 4 hours for a tow to North Baltimore, Ohio. Didn't even know Schneider had a facility here, but apparently it's an intermodal yard. Got it fixed the same day. Literally 4-5 days later, i was coming back from Kansas and was hauling a loaded going to Flint, Michigan, truck blew the same coolant line again on I-94 just inside of Michigan. I was towed to the Gary OC and was stuck there for a couple of days. At this point I'm getting a bit frustrated with this truck. Got it fixed and it was fine for almost 3 weeks. Was coming from the middle of BFN in Michigan, just getting into Grand Rapids and the same line blew again on I-96. At that point i had just about had it with that truck. I'm not one to complain but this truck had costed me several hundred dollars in money i could've made and possibly even more to the company. My DBL agreed with me on this, and started working on finding me a better truck. This was about two weeks ago. Thankfully it hasn't blown again (fingers crossed that i just didn't jinx myself). I got a message on Thursday saying that they're getting me into a new truck early next week, pending final confirmation that it's ready, and was provided with a truck number. I'm 99% sure I'm assigned to a former IC truck based on the truck number (72xxx). I haven't seen a single company tractor with the number, unless they too are former IC tractors. Either 61xxx, 62xxx, 63xxx for the older Cascadia's and 51 and 52xxx's for the P4's (I've seen some oddballs but this is mainly the nomenclature for the regular 72" sleepers that Schneider has). Excited for this truck since the OO trucks are usually much better specced vs regular company equipment. And they also don't come in those boring gray's and white's that Schneider company trucks use.
But I've been with Schneider with 3 months and more or less enjoy it except for the questionable maintenance practices and rather subpar pay.

AmeriGas Propane
Kalamazoo, MI
The Delivery Rep - ACE delivers filled gas grill cylinders to customer locations that resell the cylinders to individual consumers. AmeriGas ACE customers can include large retail chains, such as Wal-Mart, Jewel, and Home Depot, and small independent retailers such as gas stations, convenience stores, or hardware stores. Full cylinders are placed into the customer’s storage cage and exchanged for empty cylinders, which are loaded back onto the truck and taken back to the AmeriGas facility for refill. The number of daily deliveries and quantity of tanks exchanged at each stop may vary based upon the region of the country and the season of the year. An average range of deliveries may vary from 10 stops per day exchanging 150 to 200 tanks, up to 25 to 30 stops per day exchanging 300 to 600 tanks. Upon return to the AmeriGas facility, empty tanks are generally unloaded, filled and reloaded back onto the truck by a Utility Worker.
