Yeah Seattle their short on truck stops for sure, and any where in the vicinity of Los Angeles would be great only two TA's on the I-10 to choose from and there so jam packed full of trucks they can get away with charging a fee for parking.
Where would you like to see new LOVE'S be built?

They built a new Flying J's just south of Ontario last year. There's never parking at any time of the day because it's free and the locals all park there.
I agree that there needs to be more parking in the area but unfortunately I also believe that it needs to be paid parking or fuel a certain amount to get the paid parking, otherwise there will be zero spots for OTR drivers.InTooDeep and aussiejosh Thank this. -

Perhaps one day they could build massive transfer stations well east of the West Coast cities. And all inbound and outbound freight be shuttled by day cabs.

As per the discussion of my OP and the thread, I think that if they were to build a Love's in the LA area like Ontario or somewhere near there, they would have to go against their company policy and make it paid parking. I kind of have a feeling they would keep it free though, and unfortunately outside of fueling it would render that stop useless to the OTR drivers who NEED that parking place for the night. Which would be a shame.
On a side note, what I like about the Petro and TA in Ontario is that it's a place with sidewalks and crosswalks for pedestrians where you can walk to the mall and to shops/restaurants down the road. I'll gladly pay the $20 or whatever it is they're charging these days per night to park there with access to human civilization outside of the truck stop lol. They are honestly one of the best truck stops for that exact reason alone (easy access to civilization outside the truck stops/rest areas/warehouses/etc. etc.) IMO.navypoppop Thanks this. -
They are building a Loves in Waterloo, NY I 90 exit 41 across from Petro, and a Love s in Drayton, ND off I 29. The one in Drayton is in no man s land

I think about it all the time when I'm in rural areas, where do these truck stops get their employees to work there? I'm assuming in small town USA working somewhere like Love's would be considered a good job making $14 - $15 per hour or whatever they pay their (non mechanic) employees?
Like the new Love's they're building in Drayton, the next big closest city is Grand Forks with a population in the greater metropolitan area of about 100k people. Are they having to recruit people from Grand Forks to come work in the Drayton Love's, I'm assuming? The drive from Grand Forks to Drayton is about 50 miles away. I realize there's small towns around Drayton but the labor pool surely cannot be that high to pull from.
I just always think to myself that some of these truck stops that I see in rural areas would be absolutely screwed if even just a few of their employees quit and moved away as there is just not a lot of employee pool to pull from in these rural areas. That's why I also think maybe in the rural areas they have to pay more to attract to employees since the labor pool is so small. Or maybe it's opposite in that a job like Love's would be competitive in a rural area because there's so few employers for employees to choose from. I don't know.
It just makes me curious as to how the labor pools work in these small and very rural places in America.DoubleO7 Thanks this. -
As far as finding workers, I d imagine some will come from Drayton, Grafton, Minto, and from Minnesotadrvrtech77 and BeHereNow97 Thank this. -
I don't see why Loves cant start building like 100 or 200 parking spots, even out in the big Midwest they build little 70 spot parking when right across the street there is a Petro or competitor with 250/300 spots....

Off topic but im really surprised Walmart or Amazon haven't jump on the travel center bandwagon and offer rig parking and showers, maybe some reserve parking....they'd make a fortune and i bet they'd be cleaner than pilot or Loves.....
