This #### truck is really starting to get on my nerves. About 3-4 months ago I got a gremlin in the electrical system and the dome light just started flashing on and off by itself like a strobe light. There was no way to control it or turn it off. After searching for a fuse and not finding one I called Travis he looked into it and found out that the fuse for it is tied in with other circuits so there's no way to simply pull the fuse then I went to Simply take the bulb out to find out it's a sealed LED unit , so I wound up having to take the whole #### fixture out and had a wire hanging out of my roof for the last 3 or 4 months LOL then, just for the heck of it I plugged it in a few days ago and it was working fine, so when I was in Fremont for my 150k service and a bunch of other crap that needed fixed last Friday I had them reinstall it. As I'm sitting here watching TV last night the #### thing starts going on and off by itself again! So, I'm back to having a wire hanging out of my roof again LOL

Just spoke to Shane, he is looking for a Freightliner dealer that has a fifth wheel in stock. Looks like they're just going to replace the whole thing. Big props to FCC, they understand what a huge safety concern this is especially since a road service tech messed around with the adjustment nut and they aren't about to take a chance with this they are going to have the whole thing replaced. In the meantime I just have to keep fighting off the lot lizards oh, man it is really disgusting around these #### Dallas truck stops

Hey Midwest, ever get an update on your truck? Did they get you in a loaner?

I had just the opposite experience. I have a kenworth with a Fontaine 5th wheel and it’s never got loose. The freightliner set up was always being adjusted. Either way the shop once again does it right by replacing it.

I had that problem in a 2015 Pete. Turned out it was a moisture problem from condensation forming on the inside of the roof and getting in the back of the fixture… it was the drivers side map light. Would turn on and off like that…

That is known problem with the Cascadia. I drive a ‘21 and it did the same thing. My company had me take it to Freightliner and they disconnected it then put it back up. About a 5 min job.

Did that with mine also, but it started doing it again last night. So I yanked it back out again LOL they said they know exactly what the problem is, some module or something I can't remember. Problem is, just like everything else in the industry and the world for that matter today, it's on National backorder! So, it looks like I'll have a wire hanging out of my ceiling for a few more months LOL

I guess I stop at better Truck Stops. I’ve only had one Lot Lizard approach my truck at a truck stop.

A bit too far to get me back for a loaner I guess. And then back here once the truck is fixed. So they are scrambling to find the part and send it directly to the dealership. Lucky I was close to home. But I think the wife is ready for me to get back OTR. LOL
