That's good to hear "G". Just put in my app last night but my printer went south so I'm trying to figure out how to get a copy of the release form to fax over. Which terminal did you attened orientation at?

i talked to kllm today and they said since i have been off the road for a yr and half, that i would go out with a trainer for three weeks and then get into my own truck.....
does this sound about right??? also said i would be getting 40cpm after the three weeks, and $400 a wk during the three wks on with trainer.....can anyone tell me if this sounds kosher? also said i would have to be company driver for 60 days before going to lease, which is fine because i have no intrest in the l/p deal ..... atleast not at the moment..LOL...he's gonna try to get me into jan 12th class in jackson....

Well from what everyone say's and according to the website, it sound's pretty kosher to me. All I'm waiting on is a call from them now. Just put in my app. last night so hopefully I here from them with some good news. If I do and I get hired I'll probably be in Jackson around the same time, "if" they take me that is. Don't see any reason why they wouldn't though.

well i hear ya on the "if", these days from what i hear you never know if it's gonna happen or not, back a few years ago it was the same though, i would see people go to an orientation thinking they had the job, and then on the last day..BAM!!! they are on the way back home...thats why i like to really get a great idea before i go, so there is no chance at going back to the house after all the trouble of getting there and spending the better part of a week.....the only thing negative i have going is not being on the road for yr and half, so i just have to find the right place to get my foot back in the door, and my butt back on the road...LOL

Yea, I'm getting mixed message's on the Haz-Mat part also. I'm going to give them a call the day after Christmas if they are in. I don't even have a recruter yet. Had an issue with my printer and the release form. Finally got it printed and signed but now trying to get ot a fax machine is another story because we don't have one anymore and getting around town is a bit of an issue as of lately. I'm hoping for the best but prepairing for the worst. I can't afford to get Haz-Mat before going in so I was hoping they have a grace period to get it like Marten has a 90 grace period to get it.

I wanted to start my career with KLLM and filled out the application online. Called recruiting and the lady said classes were full till Feb. Being in school for a month with no income coming in, I had to go with Werner. They got me into orientation this Monday which is right after graduation. The recruiter told me call them back after 6 months with Werner to see if they have openings then. KLLM sounds like a very good company.

I had a recruiter tell me he was going to email me a pre hire letter. It never happened.
I left messages for a week. I finally called and talked with someone else and he was forced to talk with me. Then he tells me that he only said he was going to email it if I was approved. He said that they were not taking anyone from as far north as me.
I am just north of columbus.
All i know it is very unprofessional to tell someone one thing, not do it and then try to duck their calls. My background is in sales, so I was bound and determined to talk to him.

    Merry Christmas Everyone!
