I was bored, at first I just connected the QSC K series powered speakers by itself instead of the radio since I’m looking for someone to do the work in the stock unit.

But then I wanted to know why I couldn’t connect the powered speakers to the head unit. I was told background noise and all since the QSC’s would be on the inverter and the truck speakers would run off a 12v system.

So I searched and figured out.

I took a Bluetooth transmitter that’s rechargeable off the rear outputs, and paired it with a Bluetooth receiver on the inputs of the QSC.

Now once I get the amp installed on the internal speakers, I’ll run the Bluetooth output from the subwoofer out on the head unit.

I did it because I was told I couldn’t. My nature I guess.

Next step to install a Powered QSC KSub

this is for fun and I don’t intend to listen to it 24/7. In fact I’m taking it out once I accomplish my goal.

Its nice for redundancy i guess, but phone has to support multiple outputs or headunit be capable of running sound AND aux outs at the same time.

Advisable, probably not, but its not like it cant be done

The head unit is driving the stock speakers until the amp is installed, as well outputting from the RCA’s to the Bluetooth transmitter.

it’s fun to have a system I can literally remove in minutes. I already had the QSC so instead of spending close to $2000 or more for the same quality sound, I spent $50.

I guess this is a ballin on a budget build.

once I find a reputable installer that has actually worked on trucks I’m going the same route. Just something to listen to on those days I feel like it. So far people talk about working on trucks but when they see mine they have no idea what to do.

no anyone that actually worked on semi’s ?

I’d do my own too, just never done it on a semi, and I don’t want to go wrecking things.

You own it? And as long as you use the right tools, its not gonna mess things up.

ya O/O but there’s not instructions or anything, on how the rear speakers are wired or the route they take. The one thing I don’t want to do is start redoing the whole interior to learn. Once I see someone do it, I can do it as well. I’m looking for someone that’s actually worked on a similar truck and save myself the hassle of hours of learning.

Eh, fair enough, maybe post what truck youve got then? My experince has been w900 and t600

But speaker wiring is pretty easy to figure out, more or less color coded in pairs, as long as youre not pushing high wattage, stock wires should hamdle it
