Them two story jobs are usually held for "people with money". Just saying.
Sure sign of becoming a workaholic. Too sick to work, but looking for something to do while you get well.

Guess its just how I was raised... Another thought that comes to mind the last few days is of my dad telling me "If you're well enough to work for yourself, you're well enough to work for your employer." Well, I'm definetally in no condition to be driving an 80k rig if I have the option to stay home... OTR I have driven when ill as far as I thought I could safely (this usually ment much shorter than normal days), but my goal was purely selfish... Get home where I can properly recuperate.

Being local changes that perspective quite a bit... I gain absolutely nothing by driving, and potentially risk alot. Not that risk wasn't there OTR, just that I had more options and control over my daily routine and I could alter that routine (shorter days, stop when started feeling really crappy) to lessen the risks taken. Local I dont have as many options available without costing the company time and money.

So all things considered, I figure its best I stay home until I'm confident I can put in at least an 8 hour day behind the wheel safely. In a different profession I would probably pack a lunch of cold and flu meds and try to tough it out until they sent me home.

In the meantime I'll continue to stare at this stack of logs and hope to get well soon.

A properly programmed truck, auto or manual is a wonderful thing.

My mistake, I’m thinking of closing date. Every house Ive ever bought has been empty already. I’ve heard of agreements that include seller paying Buyer rent, up to a certain # of days, if more time is needed to move. Congratulations on the house. Agreeing to the 21 days should make your offer stronger. Real Estate deals are tricky. Best to have a Buyers Agent that represents You as a Buyer. Someone won’t let you to sign a bad Contract. After closing, they Need to pay you rent for the 21 days. Not just 75% of your payment. But a little more to cover use.

When I was a manager in an office job, I always sent sick people home, sometimes with a kick in the ###. Don't come in here spreading your sickness.

I don't miss working with the single moms who brought to work every disease that their kids caught in school.

Just let yourself relax. Hope you're better soon.

Kind of blows. It's like 2 months to take possession. Honestly , I don't like the thought of giving money when I don't technically have it. Plus it's house money....

But we have wild zebras in America.

Here in Maine there is a 45 requirement for those of us with the can. Called an alley dock. Thhe idea being that the driver rotates the cab so one lane of traffic can get by the end of the truck.

That isnt the trainer. That is the neighboring driver shouting expletives at the Swift driver whom doesnt know what mirrors are for.

Does someone from Roehl act as the tester for the ride along and obstacle course?
