4 teens were killed when they turned in front of a semi, a fifth was injured, a co-driver in the semi was seriously injured in the crash on US 287 in Colorado
My only thoughts, this is every drivers worst nightmare, this is why people leave the industry

Here in Maine. Teen drivers are not allowed to have other teens with them unless others are older than 21. Research has shown, under age of 21 drivers may as well be drunk if driving with other teens. As other teens are a distraction to the teenage driver.
Condolences to the families that lost their kids on a bitter learning experience.NavigatorWife, mjd4277, not4hire and 4 others Thank this. -
How does that work out there? Do many teens abide by that law/rule?NavigatorWife and lovesthedrive Thank this. -

I believe in the Beaver state, if a driver between 16 to 18 gets a citation, the license is revoked for a period of time.

I have a 19 year old daughter. When she got her license at 16 she knew part of the deal is I would monitor how she drives via gps and get alerts if she drove too fast or went outside of certain areas. Knowing that dad was watching kept her honest for the most part. But once she turned 18 it was turned off as I believe once she was 18 I had to treat her like an adult and ever since then she’s gotten several tickets and a couple fender benders. I’ve had to pay for lawyers to keep her driving record clean since dear old dad pays her car insurance and tuition and most everything else.
I used to make her read articles like this about crashes but now it’s like I’m not a kid anymore dad; thanks dad. Need more money on my ATM card dad. Love you dad as she goes out the door and I pray she gets home alive, articles like this still scare me.NavigatorWife, mjd4277, Bud A. and 1 other person Thank this.
