Yesterday I was traveling east on I64 in WV and as I started climbing hill my truck shut off and I coasted onto shoulder.
I've cracked it but no start. Checked all fluids all good. Water separator was full. Started apu to keep inside cool and it shut off after couple minutes.
Checked fuel tanks and passenger one was completely dry and drivers had 1/2 full. Culprit was vent clogged up and on my truck '13 KW T660 it has system where it equalizes fuel in both tanks so thst fuel is fed equally. However if vent is plugged it won't draw from that tank.

That's what mechanic said problem was. However it won't work properly if vent is clogged up. After unclogging that hose I've been checking and fuel is equal in both tanks

    Magoo1968 Thanks this.

Interesting! Had that problem years ago with my old freightliner. Pass side over fuel, but drivers side bone dry, and shut truck down. I siphoned 100 gallons out of pass side and put in drivers side. By time i got to my yard, pass side was 3/4 full and drivers side less than a 1/4. Our mechanics couldn't figure it out. So simple fix, we put a cross over line between tanks and let gravity do the work.

This truck does have crossover but I'm sure if vent is plugged it won't equalize fuel level in both tanks. I've been checking both tanks like 10 times already cause I'm paranoid and they look same
