Installation can be a problem too.
If the beads don't seat properly the tire will be out of round with the rim sometimes by as much as 40 to 50 thousands.
You can see the uneven bead mount by looking at the thin line that should be even spaced from the rim.

Maybe you can help. Keep in mind everything was built, not bought. Gramps had a 14 or was it 12 speed air shift Spicer in his Reo cabover. Spicer actually gave him one to try. Sometime early 60's. But was it 2 different boxes? I dont know or remember. I just remember it was a big deal to them. A air shift trans verses 2 stick was a hot ticket back then.

Same guy who put a 190 cummins in a super service white with a Mack duplex.

I have pics of it before and after a big wreck. But he put a 450 Big AL and that Spicer with Mack rears in that Reo cabover.

It was Green, and a black guy at Kaplans garage in Cleveland back then named it the GondoReo! Cause it was green and would really run!

Big AL later went to a k100 glider and suffered multiple crank failures. To get replace by a 400 SC, The 400 BC.

Hope I dont get in trouble for that story.
