Be thankful for the past experiences with him, and that only his short term memory is slipping. I have a sister in a near by nursing home. All is fine, she knows my name, uses it, and discusses current (during that visit) subject matter.
Until you ask; What was for lunch or what time do they serve dinner usually, a shrug, I dunno.. No short term memory at all, just what came up in that visit.
As an aside and curiosity. Seems your dad still has some l o n g term memory of your youth.

Well my brand new 1500w inverter just blew out. Same way the last one did. Big poof!! What was that noise? Smoke pouring out of it. Turned it off. No more smoke. All it had was the fridge plugged into it. I spilled some water near it earlier. Didn’t seem to get into it though. Doesn’t make sense. Other one, a 2000w has been working good. Making coffee with it. Plugged fridge into it. It’ll run both. Very disappointed. Must be another bad inverter? What’s the chances? Bought on Internet. Not such a great deal after all.

See if it is loose, wiggle to tighten. Man say it is dark and I cant see back there. Help rep says, just feel, no danger. Maybe move a lamp in closer. Man says no need to move a lamp cause the power is off. Quiet...
Help rep ask if he has the box, and all the little bags, ties, etc that it came in. Man says :Yes sir, Cause I was worried something like this might happen. Help rep replies, Very good. In the morning repack everything and return it. Quiet
Man asks, You think it is that serious? Help rep says, Yes it is very obvious. Man asks, What is so obvious?
Help rep replies: That you are not the type person to own a computer.
Ever think you may not be the type to own a working inverter...Odds appear against you.dwells40, austinmike, homeskillet and 7 others Thank this. -

So, all the farm drivers see me in my enhanced visibility work clothes, and suddenly they want to know what I’m making, instead of truth, I don’t know, never asked, I told them $25/hour, I’m the specialist that gets called in to help out when others fail.
I don’t think they liked that, but really it’d still be none of their business.dwells40, JolliRoger, austinmike and 5 others Thank this. -
The problem is the inverter. Power drive. Roadpro. Everyone knows Roadpro products are junk. I bought it off amazon. Maybe get a warranty replacement. Maybe not. Aggravating. I try to do things right, once and done. Sometimes It’s not so easy.

@Cattleman84 If you dont have a basement? The other alternative is to have a V shaped box that tilts inside. Have the box open into the mudroom. When you need wood you teeeter the load into the home.
Dale thompson, LoSt_AgAiN, Dave_in_AZ and 1 other person Thank this.
