.. and there's word of Teamsters going in there soon too, there you go, it's all a trucker ever wanted. Decent steady pay with a Union. C'mon boys, who's with me? Let's do this proper. /s

Teamsters union will do nothing for Amazon employees other than leach them for union dues.
Teamsters agreed to $20 per hour for drivers hauling over burden at nearby mine. Quite the collection of ###### steering wheel holders who showed up for that project.

Oh yah, same as with Canada Cartage, they only exist on paper. That's the problem nowadays, corruption at mass peak.

Amazon will take you up to $21 and some position offer $1000 sign-on bonus, remind you of anything? yah. That was in the 90's if I recall right, truckin' was so hot you could drive 3 jobs and smuggle Mexicans for more. The pay was better or same as today.

City day-cab local needs to pay $28 starting, otherwise yer gettin' ripped. $32 after probation.

only day cab jobs i’ve seen close to $28 a hr are hauling fuel or union jobs like purolator. i’ve been looking everything is $20-25 a hr . thought about applying to Labatts they advertise $26 a hr but then i read it’s not hourly but trip pay and not sure if i really can get use to switching from working days then nights doing fuel

Fuel and chems are suicide. Not worth the money, honestly, the extra couple bucks to end up on fire or with chemical burns. They'd have to pay $37+ with some excellent bennies and free massages, sponsored weekend Vegas getaways, car allowance, paid time between on-duty periods, etc.. They'd have to con me into it really hard. But there are folks out there who do it for chump change, so. This is why no one can get a decent rate, cause there's always some sucker out there that'll do it for less. We're doomed.

i worked for a company called best way back in 2011 doing ltl not really my gig but i see xpo is always hiring advertising $30 plus and just seen a ad for tst which is rare to see them hiring. i keep going back and forth on doing fuel but then guys say it’s not worth it for the little extra money you make vs dry van and reefer . i’ve also serious thought of doing onsite fuel driving a dz truck just fueling trucks reefers and construction equipment it pays close the same as driving a btrain hauling fuel $26-30 a hr from the ads i see on indeed. i’m not sure where to look if a guy like me with 13 years of driving wants to make more then $25 a hr but needs that steady pay every two weeks
