I have the name, dot number, truck number, and a little fire extinguisher symbol.
My truck number is in front of the door but not on the hood. Sort of on the cab between the door and firewall area.
Likes been said just make sure DOT can read them because they do like to harass the small guys.
Truck Number Placement, is there a regulation I need to follow?

Riceland will want trailer tag and #, they will use tag for both, but you getvss as n evil eye.
Royal Canin when you deliver, they write down tag # on both, truck # and when they see no trailer #, then dude calls corporate on a Saturday and you sit for 4-5 hours waiting on their response, “As long as tag # on trailer, seals intact, unload it.”
I’ve since put numbers on the trailer.
I put truck numbers on my Hood.
Trailer lettering was yesterday’s agenda.
Numbers on DS front of trailer, RHS rear of trailer, more help if you had to drop it, you’ll be looking at front usually driving by looking for the trailer in a line of them.
On the doors someone put pinstripes on it, wherever they used to have their company name, I left that just to break up nothing there and figured if I took it off, it’d leave different shade where it had been.
