2000 Volvo VNL Instrument Cluster Problems

I bought a scan Guage. Google it up. Connects to 6 pin plug under the dash. Boost Guage i added manual. Tapped into the manifold. That scan Guage will give you everything. Oil pressure, rpm, coolant,mpg,boost. Etc. Click on the amazon link.

 

I got the Scan Gauge but when cluster goes down the scangauge goes with it. So it’s truly worthless not showing a thing....

 

Hello everyone, I just got a 2000 Volvo vnl 610 with a N14 red top and runs great and everything on the cluster works but the little screen on the left side doesn’t turn on and today I took it for emissions but it didn’t pass because they supposedly couldn’t tell which is considered the check engine light. So now I’m stuck where to start or check exactly which one is considered the check engine or how to fix it in order to pass emissions.

 

Buy a different cluster from a junk yard, or send yours for repairs

No, I have 4 of these Volvos, plus I bought like 5 extra clusters from random trucks over the years, swapped them between each other many times. They all worked without reprogramming.
I believe only 1998-1999 older style clusters with 4 plugs need reprogramming

 

Sell me a cluster if you have an extra one haha just kidding Dune, hopefully I can find someone that can repair it for me here in Colorado if not I’ll ship it out if there’s nobody to repair it here. They have one for sell here at a junkyard but it’s missing the two top gauges on each side so I don’t think it’d fit. I opened it up just now and it is missing those little light bulbs right behind the little dash screen..
