My best variable was my availability last year everybody needed my truck. Last year was the easiest and most profitable. I never went on the load board brokers emailed everything I could do. This year back to the load boards however there is still a lot of opportunity out there.
Did your insurance go up this year?

Update on this.. I had requested a quote on my policy if I went back to my 2007 F550 instead of the new truck...
The policy for the new truck valued at $50k is roughly $15k/year
The policy for the 2007 550 valued at $10k is a few dollars over $10k/year..
Absolutely insane they are charging that much difference for a newer truck that has more safety equipment but a higher value.
I guess I should have just fixed the older truck because a 50% increase just for a new truck is insane on top of the payment...
I mean $1,5k month is a rebuilt transmission on the older truck in one month or a new engine in 2.5 months.. savings wise.. -
