That’s why you put a quick drain on. It keeps idiots from doing what they do, and if you do your own service it’s just handy as hell.

In Ron’s case, this might have been a blessing, assuming I’m following correctly.

That furniture is hideous. It looks like they gave a 5 year old a 2x4 and a knife so he could wittle out something. Not good.

Not sure on the years it was produced, or Romanian child labor laws at the time, but it's possible that it was?

Dealer - usually the folks I have do the oil change for just this reason. Doesn’t always work out that way.
you reading correctly- It would have been impossible to know without pulling the pan as there were no symptoms of what has gone wrong. Didn’t smoke, run hot, lose power, make any strange noises or anything else.

as you well know - with the parts shortages and the work backlog this is going to be a disaster of biblical proportions. No work until they first tear down the entire motor and then decide what the “fix” is.

I, by my nature, am a pessimist. So whatever the worst case scenario is - it will be slightly worse than that.

I am driving home from Texarkana on Monday (luckily I park my wind trailer in north Texas). I am having anger management issues at the moment.

That sucks something fierce brother. I truly feel for you. I think things are going to get alot worse for all of us soon. I watched a guy get his truck and trailer repoed about a month ago in little Rock. He was down for a 8 weeks already (if I remember right) and they told him it was going to be another 8-9 weeks minimum before they maybe see the sensor he needed. The hook came that next day before I left to get his truck. Said he couldn't make months of new truck/trailer payments. I literally stood there and watched that man loose his lively hood. Sucks. I wish you the best.

    thanks

I have the reserves to weather the storm but it sucks pissing away all the hard work I have done over the previous years. Plus - having very specialized equipment - I cannot rent replacement equipment - it is a bit of a double whammy.

True, but on a cold war era Kalashnikov that adds a little character.
