    I read about that myself.

    Apparently that series of engines used ceramic plungers in the fuel pumps. That in addition to the oil connection means a time bomb, so people were swapping the ceramic ones out for steel. On the X-15’s, the fuel pump is now isolated from the oil system.

    they may later deny they admitted it if you don’t already have it in writing .

    He might be able to find a driving job through a temp agency while your rig is down to bring in some extra money .

    Some ISX engines also loved to blow the seals on the Holset turbochargers or have the EGR valves give up the ghost.
