i plan on ordering this type of gauge Gauge Pyrometer Gen3
to keep the hem look , as well as turbo boost and oil temp
...i believe its hooked through ecm , i need to add thermocouple ......
i am familiar with aftermarket gauges hook up , but not oem
i would like to keep oem look on my dash

We got a pyro gauge from a local diesel shop that installed in the dash with the OEM look and the thermocouple just hooked right up to it. I don't have any more info other that. It is a digital gauge instead of analog.

Can't help you on getting the factory CAN Bus gauge going. I am thinking that might get info from the cab controller, but not sure. Those gauges are interesting how they work. You can plug them in however you want them on the Daisy chain, and they will still read the same. Also they can be moved from truck to truck with no programming. You would think that they would need programmed, being on the CANBus, but they swap right in. You can't do any more than talk to Big Rig or your KW dealer and see if they could help. It is unusual to get very far with the dealer though.
