They paint them differently so itll be easier to sell. Something to do
with fleet sales, is what I was told anyways..

"More money than i ever could make on a dedicated"? How do you know? Every dedicated pays different. Werner has LOTS. Some suck and some are great. Dollar general drivers get shafted on unload pay. They hardly get paid anything for unloading based on the premise of it being on rolltainers, which are supposed to be easy to unload. Sure, its not as hard as box by box hand unloading, and they have a liftgate, but they should get paid a lot more to unload it than they do!
Family dollar is the one to be on as far as ive heard.
However, a truck with stripes means that it originally was a team truck, or so I'm told. Maybe its just a rumour. But when you get a used truck, they leave all the stickers on it, mine had 2 million miler stickers on it when i picked it up! -
You want me to send you a copy of my logs? bsing a little bit..lol rookie
Its called having a good dispatcher that knows how you run and gettin
to the shp/con and parkin over night. Sounds to me like you gotta lot
to learn if you think 4000 mi a week is hard to do. Of course I didnt get 4000
miles everyweek. I can tell you I went months on end without havin a week under
3 and usually got 3500 without thinkin about it -
You're just trying to sound important. Thats all. I dont give a tire. -

i am seriously thinking about going to work for werner and i was just wondering if one or more of you Werner drivers could/would tell me how the home time works i know you get one day home time a week but can you work four weeks and build up four days off and if i get stuck out away from home for a day or two can they(werner)count that/them days as my off time?
-
Hey busterhound, you can take up to 4 days off at a time, but no more...you can stay out as long as you want, but you cant take more than 4 days off. But honestly, when you take 4 days off you're going to have a negative check when you're at home, which sucks! Insurance still comes out whether you make money or not.
No, if you get stuck somewhere it doesnt count. But they won't get you stuck somewhere like that. They'd rather broker you a load than pay you layover pay. They'd rather take a load that costs them money, infact. But you'll get paid better than layover pay for driving so ...
The way the usually get you home is route you into your area a couple days ahead, then keep you rolling with shortish loads then send you home...with a load. When i say shortish, they can still be 250ish miles which is still a good run
Stay out minimum 2 weeks, you wont make money getting every weekend off at werner. Sorry!busterhound333 Thanks this. -
So do you work for SWIFT and do you like it
