Even if the flywheel has been surfaced, is there such a thing that it just needs replaced? At this point I’m at a total loss for what it could be.

Yeah; I’ve spent so much money on this thing that at this point I don’t care what it cost, I just need it back in service. I’ll mention this to KW when they look at it again.

Let us know what they see when they dig back in. But at this point you just need it fixed. Kinda a stupid problem to have when paying over $100 per hr labor rate.

Midwest, we had three trucks with this crap last month. The dealer replaced the auto adjust clutch with a manual adjust and it didn’t work. I was getting impatient when I told them always replace it with what it came with like 20 times. The clutch slipped after a weeks worth of work to the point one truck could not move with a load on the deck.

So after two weeks of going back and forth, I told the shop manager they need to put in a brand new Eaton advantage auto adjusting clutch with a Kwic connect transmission brake. Not used, not rebuilt but new right from Eaton.

I also told him he needs to eat the cost of the labor on all three of them because it didn’t get fixed. After five hours of going back and forth, we had an agreement so now have three trucks on the road working right.

You had them put the auto adjust clutch back in and everything good to go now?

I was told that if you have that easy pedal clutch that it has to be a self adjusting clutch. Peterbilt in Lincoln told me a manual adjust clutch won’t work.

What did the new/ taken out clutches look like? I wouldnt blame the clutch. Solo or manual makes no difference. Trucks can be ordered either way, tho solo is recommended with hydraulic linkage.

I bet you have a linkage issue holding the clutch from fully engaging.......

    This a 680?
