I'm sorry dude, I don't see it the same way you and everyone else does. I don't think every single thing is government overreach. You gotta understand that people view things differently than you. I have a hard time understanding your frustration with the fact that my opinion differs from you. You see America one way, and I see it another. Doesn't make either of us more or less American.

Mandatory vaccine, asking Google to give them information on certain search phrases, wanting banks to give your information if you have $600 in the bank or make $600 in transactions. Putting parents who protest at school board meetings on a DOJ watch list.

Do they have to build Jewish showers before you get concerned?

It won't be until we turn into Australia before people realize it was about government control. Too late at that point.

Nope. He's not Jewish so it doesn't affect his happiness. I guess being that selfish is American..... I would hope one day we get better than that, but here we are.

The only thing you've mentioned that is overreach in my eyes is the bank account ordeal. I'll be surprised if that gets passed. That's too personal. I think Americans are scared and paranoid of so many things that they don't always know what is truly overreach.

If you're willing to take it, that's your choice. I'm not interested in living in a society like this any longer.

Fair enough! I have had this discussion many times over the years! You see the glass as half full and I see it as being half empty, BOTH of us are correct! The primary issue though is the glass is only using 50% of its capacity! The US is a Federal Constitutional Republic! The Central government was set up by the founders to be small and generally stay out of the internal affairs of the states. This was supposed to be protected by the 10th Amendment! In the late 19th century this started to change! The Federal overreach is there, but you can't see it because you have been for whatever reason desensitized to it.

With that said I am not advocating a 2nd Civil War! I am saying this precedent was set long before any of us was born.

I know in your mind you do not see overreach! That's OK because I doubt you and I will agree with everything else. However, I want you to remember the words to this old Martin Niemoller quote! One day the Federal Government will overreach on something you care about, and then you might well be all alone!

First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a socialist.

Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out— because I was not a trade unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.
