I seen an ad last week guy had several new ones. I’ll try and find it. They were all 200+ for a basic truck.

I have a new one coming, supposed firm build date for this coming week, then out onto the lot to wait for parts. I don’t know what you spec’d for new ones but from what I’ve heard if you ordered Cummins power there’s not much info as far as when they’ll have engines, at least for Peterbilt.

I ordered my new 579 with 510/1850 MX13, 12 speed auto, and 2.79 rears. 80” UltraLoft double bunk and 250” wheelbase. I’d consider letting it go after first of the year for the right price.

My current orders aren't for Peterbilt, but yes the delivery date has now been pushed out several times. I can't speak on what my needs will be a year out from now, but feel free to keep me in mind if / when that's the case - as from what I'm seeing it seems we may be in this situation for quite some time.

If I get rid of my new one it will be shortly after first of the year before I put it to work.

    It’s the perfect storm.

I know a small fleet that buys several new W9s every year and sells the older ones when the warranty expires. They are meticulously maintained , receive a annual DOT inspection , every week, oil change every 10k , get new shoes and drums if the driver has to make an Emergency stop etc .

they last one they sold was about 18 months ago and it had 350k miles on it and sold for $100k

they ordered and received two new ones in March , that were supposed to be delivered last November.

and they are keeping the two out of warranty used rigs for spare parts until this is over .
hard to imagine someone keeping two low milage rigs sitting around to take parts off of to keep the rest of the fleet running but that’s what it’s come to .

You might also want to call a few salvage yards that rebuild wrecked trucks , like Richard Kerns in Atlanta and see if they have any used ones that will be repaired and ready to roll soon .

    TowNHaul Thanks this.
