Would a regular drivers license be enough to drive a 12-16ft medium duty(less than 26k gvw) dump truck that pulls 14 to 16ft equipment trailers(single tired but tandem axle)? I'll have an easier time finding a job if they don't require a cdl in Florida...

Without knowing the gvwr of each vehicle it's impossible to answer.
Your best bet is to call and verify if it's not specified in the job listing.

A Ford f550 has a gvw of 17-19500, most trailers are 12-14k, which puts you over 30, so I doubt it unless it was certified down or ordered special

If your endgame is being a CDL A driver, WHY do you want to waste your time driving non-CDL equipment?

Why not apply to the state highway department as a highway laborer? They train you first on dump truck/CDL B, then heavy trailers, then CDL A. At least they do in many states.

You've said before you are familiar with loading/unloading trucks.

If you did a "dock to driver" program with your nearest LTL company, back when you started posting on here, you'd probably have a year of CDL A experience by now. Just sayin'........

I would like to do hardscape lawn construction and excavation and if most companies require a CDL it I would like to know what endorsements, class and experience/training is required... Would anyone on here be able to tell me what is required? It's appreciated thanks
