I know it’s been mentioned in several threads about members here on TTR waiting on their new trucks.

Please update as things change or news happens.

Myself: Two Kenworths built in August with Cummins engines. Still not release here two months later.

Also was just informed my two orders for March 22 that I placed 3 months ago have been cancelled. No new slots currently available for 2022 at this time.

If you have trailer orders, sensor orders, or anything trucking related that cannot be gotten. Feel free to add. Or if you recently received your truck, when was it actually built?

I put an order for 2 Peterbilt 567's Heavy hauls in August for September build. Both orders got canceled last month and no new orders were allowed this year.

Forced me to go find the 2 Internationals and I snagged those up!

I have another customer who put an order for 4 567's in June - Peterbilt told him the trucks are in Texas built but they won't releaser them.

2022 Mack Anthem I ordered in February was placed in my hands on Oct 1. The build date was July, which is the originally promised complete date. It was not shipped until the last week of Sept. It was sitting in Macungie PA completely built, but waiting on the roof fairing supposedly. Now I'm waiting out the IRP timer I started on Friday before having everything legal to run it. The Georgia Department of Revenue has exploited the covid panic to reduce customer service to less than zero, so a plate transfer that would take 2 minutes at a counter if one existed like in the olden days, now will probably take another week.

Meanwhile, my Great Dane salesman has gone from "can't even order for a few more weeks for Q3 next year delivery" to just not answering emails. This thread made me think of it, so I tried one more time. Next will be a call to his boss to see if he quit or died. Look I get it. You can't meet demand for a dozen different reasons, but that's no excuse for not being able to click on reply and copy/paste your same sad story of failure, and at least make me believe my business is valuable to you. It's not like I'm desperate or anything. I'm expecting to order two 2023's and not see them for a year, in the best of cases. I could use one right now, but will just have to keep them going for now until whenever.

All I got to say about this is: markets are cyclical, and there will come a time when these people won't be able to give their equipment away. When that day comes, I'll definitely be reminding them, over and over again, how I didn't forget being treated like an unwanted guest in 2021.

What I think is going to be interesting is when they go to sell all of this half built equipment that has been sitting. When things sit over winter, critters tend to move in and make themselves at home. I have a feeling that some folks will be getting nightmare equipment when they finally get it.

One thing we know for certain, is they will ALL need new batteries installed. I agree with you though completely.

Side note... had a random derate pop up on a truck in NJ this morning. The couple shops out there we called and one said end of next week. The other said we can’t take you in, period. Wow.
Thank God it went away on its own... for now.

There are a bunch of gm pickups sitting in a grass lot near Flint. I was surprised that they would park them on grass.

Hiding out because the price he gives you now will just be an estimate. GD(reefer) will give you the actual price 16 weeks before the build date. That may be higher or lower (haha) than the original "estimated" price.

Tried to order a new 680 six weeks ago. Got put on ignore after getting the initial spec sheet for review. Last I heard was two weeks ago, basically saying “we don’t know if we’re coming, going, or have already been”. Supposed to hear this week. Anyone want to bet if that will happen?

I'm ok with that, all things considered. See how easy it was for you to say it? And you don't even work for Great Dane.

I cancelled a bunch of them, i'll just pick up a few here and there that come in that someone else can't take.
Interesting that in 2020 he sold approx 4000 trailers, as of sept this year was only a little over 1000. I sold him 6 for stupid money, they were sold as fast as he picked them up. Equipment is starting to look like housing market in 2006-7. Wonder how some are going to justify that cost in a few years.
