Cant speak for the others but i drove as both company and now as an O/O for bones. I literally cant say too much nice about them. Best outfit i have ever worked for. But im also heavily biased so take it for what you will.

I'm not very knowledgeable with companies up your way, but I wanted to chime in on the e-log comment, I very rarely get inconvenienced by it, most days when I was on the road I could run more than enough miles, I've been running local for a few months now but still stretch out in to middle GA a few times a week, I did 680 miles yesterday, governed at 70, and within my legal hours. I stressed it 5 years ago when the company implemented them, I've learned to love them now, makes my day a hell of a lot easier. Best of luck to you on your search, it'd be good to have another member in this thread.

Hey Mike thanks for posting. I’m gonna have to agree with my buddies here. Firstly @Arctic_fox stated he can’t say enough good about Bones. I’ve heard this from everyone I’ve ever met who has or is driving for them. Secondly as @Trashtrucker1707 said I dont find elogs as a hindrance either. But I will say in all fairness I am mostly local with some regional runs sprinkled throughout. I can get to my places in time and most places we go have daylight hours only. It’s not like my reefer days where it unloads at all hours of the night then you have to boogie to reload and try to draw lines in the comic book at the end of they day to make it make sense.
The other companies you have listed I’m not familiar with, but I have seen CDJ Bulk trucks on some of my easterly tours. I wonder if it’s something you’d be interested in, if you haven’t checked them out already. Their equipment looks top notch.

Don’t be a stranger and let us know how it pans out! Best of luck!

Thanks for the info. I checked in again with CDJ about two weeks ago and they still do not hire out of here.

Ya might check with Barris Trucking in Middlesex, PA.

A friends son drives for them and is generally home every weekend (PA). They’ve got him in a nice looking flattop 389. He seemed happy with them, I met him a couple of weeks ago when he was passing through.

Looks like they only hire out of western PA and OH.

Check out R&J trucking. They haul dry bulk. Have several divisions. I think American Bulk is akin to their parent company. I know they do a lot of the eastern area.
